I had just completed collecting all my data for dissertation, when I began to input my data into SPSS, when I realized I had no idea what I was doing. I contacted my methodologist on my committee from my online school and quickly realized I needed assistance from an in-person tutor. After overcoming my wave of the anxiety of fear that I would not be able to complete my dissertation, I scoured the internet for a tutor and quickly found Susan Collins. I emailed her a few times to confirm she could assist me. She responded quickly and was conveniently located in the Los Angeles area. She had reasonable rates and flexibility regarding meeting times. I spent and an inordinate amount of time with Susan because I wanted to understand what my statistics meant. Her self-description, “I am a very patient, steadfast, and enthusiastic women with a good sense of humor who simply enjoys teaching” is an accurate portrayal. Susan and I spent about 20 hours together. There were times I was frustrated with the process, but Susan calmly, supportively, and humorously led me to understanding and completion. Additionally, Susan assisted me with my graphs and tables necessary for my results section of my dissertation as well. She remained patient with me while overseeing my work to ensure I did correct American Psychological Association (APA) format. Finally, during my final stages of review by the Utilization Review Committee and while I was on vacation, I received some feedback regarding my statistics and results section that I could not interpret. Once again, I call up Susan in frenzy, HELP! I email her the remarks, my latest document, together we interpreted the feedback via phone, made the proper changes to my dissertation, and wallah, my dissertation was accepted and completed. I spent long hours with Susan at various times, on various days, and evenings. I found her to be very accommodating. She was knowledgeable, patient, and reliable. Not only is she a valuable tutor, she really is an enjoyable person. I would recommend utilizing Susan as a tutor for your dissertation, thesis, or other statistical needs. Of note, my dissertation committee was very pleased with my dissertation. Additionally, the utilization committee remarked my dissertation was one of the most thorough dissertations they had ever read. I credit Susan Collins as part of my process to make my success possible. Let Susan make you a success too! Thank you, Susan. Gratefully, Dr. Weinreich.
Had a 2 hour session via phone on basic Stats and also needed assistance on SPSS for a my thesis. Contacted her around 1PM and she promptly replied around 2 and we were finished by 5 PM. Overall, I would highly recommend her. Some of the concepts went over my head, but she patiently slowed down to ensure I was understanding everything. Very thorough in her explanations and I would say she probably knows SPSS inside and out. A wealth of knowledge and I would certainly seek her services in the future if I needed it.
